Where you meet it
A script without pauses, a Retry-After header in the response.
What to test
- Find the stated limit (docs, response header, or ask a developer), e.g., 5 login attempts per minute; make exactly that many attempts, then one more → only the extra one is blocked.
- Once the block time is over, try again → it works again.
- Reach the limit as user A, then right away try as user B in another browser → user B should not be blocked.
