405 Method Not Allowed: Verbadger

405Method Not Allowed VerbadgerWrong VerbNot like that! Change your methods.

What it means

The server knows this address but doesn’t accept this method.

Where you meet it

A DELETE sent to an endpoint that only accepts GET.

What to test

  • In Postman, send DELETE (or PUT) to an endpoint that only reads data (e.g., a public list) → status 405, nothing is deleted.
  • Look at the headers of that 405 response → there is an Allow header listing the methods you can use.
  • Try each unsupported method on the endpoint → always 405, never 404 or 500.
